Red Bull Masterclass with the Harmon’s
This year at the St. Andrews Bay Resort, witnessed the return of the Harmon brother’s to hold their 2nd Red Bull Masterclass, the 1st being in 2004 at "the Belfry".
The theme for this Masterclass was “improving performance levels”. The Harmon’s ,
Butch (former coach of Tiger Woods), Dick, Craig and Billy had a selected group of the countries best young players and split the delegates into small groups where the following topics where covered:
• Coaching a junior
• Short game – the putting stroke
• Short game – bunkers/pitching
• Coaching a Tour Professional (Andrew Coltart)
It is really good to work with the world’s best coaches and to exchange ideas on teaching and to discuss how they went about their diagnosis was thought provoking.
Day 2
Part 1
Focused on the important dimensions in Golf “Golf Specific Training and Conditioning” and workouts for conditioning the correct muscle groups in golf
(with Paul Casey’s personal fitness trainer).
Part 2
“Train the brain” with Dr. Karl Morris who works with Tour Player Darran Clark.
Parts 1 + 2 are very important parts for golfing success. Although I’ve been teaching full time for 20 years I always like to attend such events and exchanging thoughts and ideas about the swing will help me improve my continued expertise as a
Golf Teacher. - Eric |

Business Tourism Expo Frankfurt – May 2005
In May this year I represented Visit Scotland as their German speaking golf expert at the annual business tourism expo, in Frankfurt. The expo was represented by many countries exhibiting and promoting their home grown products and I was very excited to experience the huge interest in Scottish golf and it was a great honour for me to fly the flag! -Eric |

Deutsche Bank Open – Hamburg
In July this year I represented Visit Scotland again on the stand. On this occasion I was giving advice and tips on Golf in Scotland. I held many putting clinics using my “SAM Puttlab”. Even though this amazing ultrasonic putting device was designed and build in Germany by Germans, the golfing public had never seen this before, so anyway SAM Puttlab proved to be a big hit, and fun was had by all. It was encouraging to witness a queue forming to enter the “Home of Golf” stand. That’s the way it should be. Bonnie Scotland. -Eric
