Edinburgh Festival / Tattoo Coaching Week

Welcome to the Edinburgh Festival - a sizzling three weeks of the best theatre, opera, music and dance. The Festival runs from 04 August - 26 August. If you wish to take in a show or event Eric Grandison will help you with your booking. On arrival in Edinburgh you will receive a welcome pack which includes details of shows, events etc. Even if you don't take part in a show there is plenty of street entertainment on offer where actors and artists from all over the world will be performing.

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a great gathering of an international clan. More than 11 million people from over 30 countries have experienced the Tattoo live at Edinburgh castle, and more than 40,000 performers from over 30 countries have taken part. The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, timeless but ever-changing, is one of the great spectacles on the world stage today. Look forward to spending an evening in the audience at this unforgettable experience.

Day 1

Upon your arrival in Edinburgh you will be personally met by Eric Grandison your PGA Professional. You will be escorted to the awaiting Eric Grandison Golf School coach and transferred to the Hotel. At 19.00 hrs there will be a welcome cocktail in the "The Dome", the grandest restaurant/bar in the capital's city centre - the ideal starting point for your Scottish experience.

Day 2

Full Scottish/continental breakfast at hotel.
The day will start with two hours of golf instruction which will include video swing analysis. You will have a break for lunch and will commence with 18 holes over the beautiful and challenging championship links of Craigielaw Golf Club.

Day 3

Full Scottish/continental breakfast at hotel.
The day will start with two hours of golf instruction which will include video swing analysis. You will have a break for lunch and will commence with 18 holes at the Glen Golf Club.

Day 4

Full Scottish/continental breakfast at hotel.
The day will start with two hours of golf instruction which will include video swing analysis. You will have a lunch break and afterwards drive 2 minutes round the corner to play 18 holes at Gullane No 2 , which has 300 years of history. Afterwards we are off to the world famous Glenkinchie Whisky Distillery where you will enjoy a guided tour and will be invited to a whisky-tasting which promises to be fun! Don't worry, I am driving!

Day 5

Full Scottish/continental breakfast at hotel.
This two hour session will take place on the challenging and tricky beautifully-maintained 6 hole South Links. This is the ideal place for fine-tuning your short game where you will receive on-course instruction. You will have a break for lunch and will commence with 18 holes at North Berwick West.

Day 6

Full Scottish/continental breakfast at hotel.
This is the final day of your tour so having a "wee" tournament is the apt way to finish off an enjoyable week. We will start with a one hour pre-tournament warm up session and then play 18 holes at Craigielaw Golf Club. The prize-giving will take place in the clubhouse. To finalise this great week you will experience the world famous Edinburgh "Military Tattoo" which is truly an unforgettable experience.

Day 7

Day off.
Enjoy a relaxing day in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Edinburgh. A beautiful historic city with stunning views and architecture dating back to the 12th century. A vibrant cosmopolitan city that has it all! A visit to Edinburgh castle is a must and a stroll through the Old Town and the Royal Mile is an experience not to be missed, especially during the festival. Edinburgh has an abundance of great cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and has a great nightlife entertainment.
Edinburgh, a great place, great people, once visited you’re sure to return.
